The Tavern on the Square is upscale country dining at it's finest. One of the oldest eating establishments in the area, The Tavern on the Square was built in 1849 and has a rich history as it was part of the underground railroad.
The walls of this restaurant are adorned with beautiful murals from almost 200 years ago. There are intricate details in these murals that are unique to the farmland of Western Pennsylvania and New Wilmington.
Some of the dishes on the menu are Chicken and Biscuits, Roast Beef with homemade mashed potatoes and aged steak. Our steak is particularly unique because it has been aged for 28 days. For dessert, we have Apple Dumplings, Coconut Cream pie, and our world famous sticky buns.
If you want to come to our Tavern for an event, fear not, we have four private dining rooms that will fit up to fifty guests. We can accommodate bridal showers, birthday parties and more. Come experience this historic and unique dining experience.
