Here's a short history of The Jacqueline House and your host.
About The Jacqueline House
While giving much of a feel of a historic home, The Jacqueline House was actually built from a dream just over twenty years ago. The original owners, Bob and Lynn Harry, had looked elsewhere to begin their new venture of owning a bed and breakfast, but circumstance and providence brought them back home. They began the large addition to their then modest farmhouse, and endured a whole year of countless hours planning, searching, and constructing to make The Jacqueline House the gorgeous structure it is today.
The Jacqueline House successfully operated as a B&B for 13 years before an unfortunate smoke fire required the home to be taken down to the studs for a complete restoration. Luckily, the then owners, John and Ida Felix, put much care into the work needed to once again bring this beautiful house to life. Fresh paint, a new kitchen remodel, and the addition of a conference room accompanied the special attention put into the original moldings and antique pieces. Guests were again welcomed through the door until the house was then in need of a new innkeeper.
About Your Host
After years of traveling for business, Rebecca Hink came to appreciate the luxury and comfort of staying at a bed and breakfast, rather than a hotel. That realization soon turned into a dream of her own. For quite some time, Becky daydreamed of becoming the innkeeper of her very own B&B, a place where she could extend a feeling of comfort and care to her guests. In November of 2014, her dream came true. She is now the innkeeper at The Jacqueline House. Becky's experience as a guest has taught her valuable lessons on what a 5-star bed and breakfast should offer. Her applied knowledge has led to the perfect combination of service and space.
In other words, when staying at The Jacqueline House, our guests will have impeccable service when they need it, but they will also have the opportunity to truly relax, and refresh in the privacy we all cherish.
We all need a place to escape the busyness of this life. My dream, as an innkeeper, is to provide a space where my guests can slow down and experience true luxury, comfort, and peace. - Rebecca Hink, Innkeeper
