Exploring the Pennsylvania Mountains at McConnells Mill State Park

When you think of fall in the Pennsylvania mountains, they think of bright colors, babbling brooks and lush wooded forests. McConnells Mill State Park has all of those things and more.

There are many trails for hiking, huge boulders that litter the valley floor. McConnells Mill State Park is unique in that it's open every day of the year from sunup to sundown. Day Use areas close at sunset. The Old Mill is open depending on the season and weather.

As beautiful as the water is, we want to make sure that there is no swimming in the river. It is a strong current and our goal at McConnells Mill is to keep everyone safe. The rocks are also slippery so stay on the trails as they are designed to keep your safe and still able to interact with nature.

We encourage the entire family to come and experience the outdoors of this unique region. We even allow pets but they must be kept on a leash and under control and picked up after.
